Quetzalcoatl Moves into the Giving Garden!

About a week before 12/21/2012, Simone began her amazing mural above our veggie garden (bed is being redone). She didn't even know that she was painting Quetzalcoatl on the wall...here are the pics to prove it: Phillip and Funn power washing the walls. Blank canvas. La Selva. Thank you beautiful sister, Simone, for gracing our garden with the feathered serpent, fertility goddess and the jungle. Our harvest is sure to be bountiful in 2013 and beyond! Love you!

The Giving Garden Mural Project

In March of 2012, one my dreams was realized....with the help of my uber talented artist-nature loving friend, Marysia Miernowska, we began the Goddess Mural in our patio. What better way to be greeted when you enter our home then by beautiful goddesses?! Marysia is 5 months pregnant and beaming as per usual! I won't let a broken arm stop me! ;) Goddesses sometimes have to conceal their beauty...not everyone can handle it! Lovely Lara Catone, painted Lahksmi (to the right of the door),Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity (both material and spiritual), fortune, and the embodiment of beauty. I painted Venus (to the left), Roman goddess whose functions encompass love, beauty, sex, fertility, prosperity and victory. I didn't know when I began painting that the planet Venus was transiting. It's when Venus passes directly between the sun and earth. This alignment is rare, coming in pairs that are eight years apart but separated by over a century. Very auspicious indeed! On the side wall, to the right of the door is Gidget's beautiful goddess/animal representation. I don't have any photo's at the moment. But here is what it will look like: Thanks to Marysia, Lara and Gidget for their enthusiasm, love and beautiful goddess energy! Our is all the more beautiful!
